How to Clean Up Player Chat Format in SkyHanni
SkyHanni can rewrite how player messages appear, stripping rank prefixes and colours for a uniform, readable chat.
Opening the Chat Format Settings
Run /sh and go to the Chat category. Look for the Player Chat Format or Clean Chat options. These control how other players' messages render on your screen.
Options You Can Toggle
- Show channel prefix for 'all' — adds or removes the
[ALL]tag in front of messages. - Hide player rank colour — removes the coloured name styling tied to rank.
- Hide colon after player name — tidies the
Name:separator. - SkyBlock level format — hide it entirely or change how it displays next to names.
- Elite position format — same idea for elite leaderboard positions.
- Channel prefix design — customise the look of channel tags.
Using Clean Chat Mode
Enable the clean chat format to make every player write in the same colour with no rank prefix. This is ideal for reading busy lobbies or party chat where rank colours create visual noise.
Tips
Changes apply instantly — no restart needed. If a specific channel (like party or guild) still looks cluttered, check whether it has its own format toggle. Combine this with the Chat Filter for the cleanest possible window.
