How do I open the SkyHanni config menu?
Run the /shcommand in chat to open the main SkyHanni settings GUI, or use /skyhanni if that alias is enabled. From there you can browse categories like Chat, Dungeons, and Mining and toggle individual features on or off.
Why aren't my chat filter changes doing anything?
Most chat filters only apply to new messages, so scroll up and send a test message or trigger the event again. Also make sure the specific filter toggle is enabled and that you haven't left the master chat filter disabled in the Chat category.
How do I hide the MVP join and loot box messages in the Hub?
Open the config with /sh, go to the Chat Filter section, and enable the toggles for player join messages and loot box messages. These filters only affect the Hub, so they won't interfere with messages elsewhere.
Can SkyHanni change how player chat looks, like removing ranks and colors?
Yes, the Chat category has options to hide rank prefixes, hide the colon after player names, and use a clean uniform chat format. You can also adjust the SkyBlock level format and channel prefix design there.
How do I stop dungeon chat spam from filling my screen?
Enable the Dungeon Filter in the Chat Filter settings, which removes common noisy dungeon messages. You can then fine-tune which specific message types are hidden if you still want to see some of them.
How do I turn off the SkyHanni welcome message when I enter SkyBlock?
Go to the Chat or Notifications section of the config and disable the welcome message toggle. The same area controls warp notifications, so you can turn those off separately if you only want to silence one of them.
Does SkyHanni work alongside other SkyBlock mods like NEU or Skytils?
Yes, SkyHanni is designed to run alongside other popular SkyBlock mods, but overlapping features (like chat filters or dungeon timers) can double up. If you see duplicate messages or conflicting overlays, disable the redundant feature in one of the mods.
Will SkyHanni hurt my FPS or cause lag?
SkyHanni is generally lightweight, but heavy features like chat filtering and dungeon overlays can add up if you enable everything. If you notice lag, disable features you don't use and check whether another mod is conflicting.
How do I hide powder mining and winter gift messages?
These have their own toggles in the Chat Filter section of the config. Enable the powder mining message hider and the winter gift message hider separately, since they're categorized individually.
My chat filters stopped working after I changed a setting — what did I do wrong?
You may have accidentally disabled the master chat filter or reset the category. Reopen /sh, check that the Chat Filter category is enabled, and re-enable the individual toggles you want; some changes only apply to messages received after the toggle is set.
