Establish a Sustainable Base on Limited Space

Choosing Your Base Location

Space is precious on a grid. Pick a location with room to expand and access to multiple resource blocks nearby.

1. Select a central cluster – Find an area where several blocks are close together. This minimizes travel time and consolidates your operations.

2. Claim surrounding blocks – Expand outward gradually, connecting nearby floating blocks to your main platform with bridges.

3. Plan vertically – Build upward and downward to maximize usable space without spreading too far horizontally.

Building Efficiently

  • Organize by function – Dedicate areas for farming, smelting, storage, and crafting to keep your base tidy
  • Use compact designs – Tall furnace stacks and vertical farms save horizontal space
  • Connect everything – Build bridges between all your work areas so you can move safely without jumping
  • Add redundancy – Keep duplicate tools and supplies in case you lose items to the void

Expanding Safely

As you grow, anchor new platforms to existing blocks. Always build railings around edges and test new areas before committing resources to them. A well-organized base lets you focus on exploration and gathering rather than constant rebuilding.
