How to Spot Dropped Items Through Walls Using Glowing Items

Understanding the Glow Outline

The Glowing Items feature adds a bright outline to items dropped on the ground, colored by the item's rarity. Because the outline renders through blocks, you can see drops even when they land behind walls, under terrain, or in a pile of other entities.

1. Kill a mob or open a container that drops items.

2. Watch for the colored outline around each dropped item — the color corresponds to its rarity tier.

3. Walk toward the outline to pick the item up; you don't need direct line of sight to notice it.

Practical Uses

This is most useful in crowded or obstructed areas where drops are easy to lose:

• Slayer and mob grinding — drops that scatter behind you or into walls still show their outline.
• Dungeon and combat rooms — spot loot on the far side of pillars or corners.
• Farming and mining — notice items that fall out of reach or into holes.

Because the outline is rarity-colored, you can quickly judge whether a distant glow is worth walking to. A high-rarity color stands out from common drops, so you can prioritize valuable items first and sweep up the rest afterward. If a glow seems to be inside a block, check the surrounding area — the item may have landed in an adjacent air pocket you can reach.
