Change Your Skin Using Commands
Using the Skin Command
The fastest way to switch skins is through the in-game chat command. Open your chat and type the skin-switching command followed by the skin name or player username you want to mimic.
Steps
1. Press T to open chat
2. Type the command (format varies by mod version, typically /skinshift <playername> or similar)
3. Press Enter to apply the skin instantly
4. Your character's appearance changes immediately; other players see the new skin
Tips
- You can use any valid Minecraft player name or skin file identifier
- The change is purely visual—your actual account and permissions remain unchanged
- If the command fails, check that the skin name is spelled correctly
- Some modpack versions may use different command syntax; check your specific pack's documentation if the standard command doesn't work
