Manage Skin Permissions for Server Players

Understanding Skin Permissions

Skin Restorer Remoded Plugin uses two permission nodes to control who can change skins and who can manage the plugin:

  • myskins.skin — Allows players to use /skin, /skin update, and /skin clear commands.
  • myskins.admin — Grants administrative access for server management tasks.

Granting Permissions

1. Access your server's permission system (usually LuckPerms, PermissionsEx, or your host's control panel).

2. Assign myskins.skin to players or groups who should be able to change their skins.

3. Assign myskins.admin only to trusted staff members who need to manage the plugin.

Checking Player Permissions

If a player reports they cannot use skin commands:

1. Verify they have myskins.skin permission in your permission manager.

2. Ask them to relog after permissions are updated.

3. Test the command yourself to confirm the plugin is working.

Default Behavior

Without explicit permissions, players cannot use skin commands. Always assign permissions intentionally to maintain control over your server.
