Fix a Skin That Won't Load on Your Offline Server

Why Your Skin Isn't Showing

On offline-mode servers, player skins often fail to load because the server cannot verify your Minecraft account with Mojang's servers. Skin Restorer Remoded Plugin bridges this gap by restoring your appearance locally.

Steps to Restore Your Skin

1. Join your offline-mode server as you normally would.

2. Open chat and type /skin update to refresh your current skin.

3.

4. Look in a mirror or ask another player if your skin now appears correctly.

If the skin still doesn't show:

1. Type /skin clear to reset to the default appearance.

2. Type /skin <playername> where <playername> is a player whose skin you want to copy (or your own username if you have a skin set elsewhere).

3. Use /skin update again to refresh.

Troubleshooting

If skins remain broken after these steps, ask your server administrator to verify the plugin is properly installed and that your account has the myskins.skin permission. The plugin runs quietly in the background, so you won't see obvious signs it's working—just that skins appear correctly.
