How to Let Players Change Their Own Skins with SkinShuffle
What SkinShuffle Adds
SkinShuffle is a separate mod that gives players a graphical interface for managing skins. When both mods are present, Skin Restorer supports SkinShuffle, meaning players can pick and apply skins through that GUI instead of typing commands. This is useful on servers where you want players to self-serve rather than asking staff to run commands for them.
Setting It Up
Install SkinShuffle on the client side so players have the interface available. On the server, keep Skin Restorer installed and make sure the SkinShuffle support is active. Because Skin Restorer is server-side, the server handles the actual skin application while SkinShuffle provides the front-end for choosing skins.
Once both are in place, players open the SkinShuffle interface, select or enter a skin, and apply it. Skin Restorer processes the request and pushes the skin to the player. If the GUI does not appear or skins do not apply, verify that SkinShuffle is installed on the client and that the player has permission to change their skin. Players without SkinShuffle can still use the standard set commands, so both paths can coexist on the same server.
