How to Stop Skeleton Horses From Burning in Daylight

Why they burn

By default, skeleton horses are undead and take fire damage in sunlight, just like skeletons. This means any horse you find during the day may die before you can reach it. The mod lets you change this behavior.

Toggle the daylight setting

Open the mod's config file in your config folder. Find the option named shouldBurnSkeletonHorsesInDaylight. Set it to the value that disables burning (the opposite of its default). Save the file.

Reload and verify

Restart the game or reload the world. If the setting worked, the horse will remain unharmed instead of catching fire. This is especially useful if you want to tame and ride skeleton horses, since a burning horse is hard to mount and keep alive.

Note that this only affects skeleton horses, not the skeletons riding them, which may still burn unless another mod changes that. If you want a stable supply of rideable skeleton horses, combine this with a higher spawn chance so more of them survive into daylight.
