Skeleton AI Fix Mod Guide

What the Mod Changes

Skeleton AI Fix Mod removes the awkward strafing behavior that normally defines skeleton combat. In vanilla, skeletons often walk backwards, drift into corners, or step off cliffs while trying to keep distance from you. This mod strips that out. Instead of retreating, skeletons now hold their position and focus entirely on shooting.

How Combat Feels

The key change is aggression scaling with proximity. The closer you get, the faster a skeleton fires. Charging straight in is no longer a safe way to disrupt their aim, since closing distance makes them more dangerous rather than less. Their shots stay focused on you instead of being interrupted by terrain or repositioning.

Which Skeletons Are Affected

All bow-wielding skeletons are covered, including the classic skeleton and the Stray. Any skeleton that uses a bow will stand its ground and shoot rather than strafe. The result is a smoother, more intense fight where the challenge comes from their aim and fire rate, not from buggy movement. Expect a real duel instead of an enemy that trips over the landscape.
