Switch Between Different Menu Layouts

Creating Multiple Menu Variants

You can create several different menu layouts by making multiple JSON files in your assets/sirius_ui/ui/ folder. Name them clearly, like main_menu_dark.json, main_menu_light.json, or main_menu_seasonal.json.

Organizing Your Resource Pack

Keep each layout's associated textures and backgrounds organized in subfolders within assets/sirius_ui/textures/gui/. For example:

  • gui/dark/ for dark theme textures
  • gui/light/ for light theme textures

This makes it easy to swap between complete menu designs.

Selecting Your Active Layout

The mod loads a default menu JSON file when you start the game. To switch layouts, you'll need to either:

  • Rename your preferred JSON file to match the default filename the mod looks for, or
  • Check your resource pack's configuration file for options to select which layout to use

Testing Multiple Layouts

Create all your variants first, then test each one by swapping the active file. This lets you preview different themes without creating new resource packs.
