Create a Custom Menu Layout Using JSON
Setting Up Your Resource Pack
Start by creating a new resource pack folder in your .minecraft/resourcepacks directory. Inside, create the folder structure: assets/sirius_ui/ui/. This is where your custom menu JSON files will live.
Writing Your First Menu JSON
Create a JSON file for your menu (for example, main_menu.json). Use the JSON UI engine syntax to define button positions, sizes, and textures. Each button needs:
- A unique identifier
- X and Y coordinates for positioning
- Width and height dimensions
- A texture path pointing to your custom image files
- An action type (like "play", "quit", or "options")
Example structure:
`json
{
"buttons": [
{
"id": "play_button",
"x": 100,
"y": 200,
"width": 200,
"height": 50,
"texture": "textures/gui/play_button.png",
"action": "play"
}
]
}
`
Enabling Your Pack
Enable your resource pack in the Resource Packs menu. Launch the game and your custom layout should appear on the title screen.
