How to Configure and Update Sinytra Connector in an Existing Modpack

Locate Connector's Config

After first launch, Connector generates its configuration files in the standard config folder of your instance. Open the Connector config to review options such as logging verbosity and any compatibility toggles it exposes. Raising log detail helps when diagnosing a mod that loads but misbehaves, because Connector will print more about how it translated Fabric calls. Lower it again once things work to keep logs readable.

Update Connector Carefully

When a new Connector build is available, back up your mods and config folders first. Replace the old Connector jar with the new one, keeping any Fabric library mods in place. Launch and check the log for new warnings. Connector updates sometimes change which Fabric API features are supported, so a mod that worked before may need a newer version of itself or may temporarily stop working until Connector catches up.

Keep Mods and Connector in Sync

Update Fabric mods and Connector together rather than one at a time. A Fabric mod built against a newer Fabric API may rely on features an older Connector does not yet provide, and an older Fabric mod may break against a newer Connector. If a modpack ships its own Connector version, prefer the pack's version unless you have a specific reason to override it, since the pack author has tested that combination.
