Enhance Water Visuals and Swimming Experience
Accessing Water Settings
Open the shader settings menu and navigate to the Water section. This is where you control how water behaves and appears throughout your world.
Configuring Wave Behavior
Singularity Shaders offers detailed water wave controls:
- Wave Height: Increase for more dramatic, rolling waves; decrease for calmer water surfaces.
- Wave Frequency: Adjust how often waves occur. Higher frequencies create choppy, turbulent water; lower frequencies produce gentle, rolling motion.
- Caustic Effects: Enable or enhance the light-refraction patterns visible on underwater surfaces and the sea floor. This creates depth and realism.
Improving Underwater Clarity
When swimming, the shader provides multiple view modes:
- Clear Water Mode: Reduces fog and haze underwater for better visibility of structures and terrain.
- Fog Density: Adjust how far you can see underwater. Lower density reveals more of the ocean floor; higher density creates mysterious, atmospheric diving.
Testing Your Configuration
Swim in different water bodies—oceans, rivers, and small lakes—to see how your settings affect each environment. Caustics and wave behavior vary based on water depth and surrounding light.
