Set Up the Data Pack in Your World

Installation Requirements

This data pack is a bridge between two mods and requires both to function:

1. Install the Simply Swords mod into your mods folder

2. Install the Death Knights mod into your mods folder

3. Add the Festering Strike data pack to your world's datapacks folder

4. Load or create a world with both mods enabled

Verification

After loading your world, test that everything works:

• Craft or locate a Toxic Longsword or any scythe
• Attack a nearby mob
• Confirm that Festering Strike effects appear (visual or damage indicators)

If the spell doesn't trigger, double-check that both parent mods are active. The data pack cannot function if either Simply Swords or Death Knights is missing or disabled. Check your mod list in the main menu to confirm both are loaded.
