Armor Plating, Thrusters, and Upgrades

Understanding the Component System

Simply Jetpacks separates each jetpack into a Thruster and an Armor Plating. The Thruster determines flight behavior and speed, while the Armor Plating adds protection and affects the armored variants. Plating comes in Basic, Bronze, Advanced, Diamond, Elite, Enderium, and Flux versions, matching the material progression of the jetpacks themselves.

Armored jetpacks combine a standard jetpack with plating, giving you defense at the cost of some agility or energy capacity. The Flux Chestplate and Flux-Infused JetPlate are the Redstone Flux-themed entries, tying the mod's power system directly into wearable gear. Enchantments can be applied to jetpacks to further customize them, and the configuration section lets you tune energy values and other behavior. Because components are shared across tiers, you can often reuse a Thruster or Plating when moving up, which keeps the upgrade path cheaper than crafting each jetpack from raw materials.
