Configure Day, Night, and Indoor Lighting Separately
Understand Lighting Profiles
SimplifyShaderPack often provides separate control over daytime, nighttime, and indoor/cave lighting. This lets you optimize each scenario independently without compromise.
Adjust Daytime Brightness
During the day, you may want brighter ambient light to reduce cave-like shadows under trees and overhangs. Increase daytime ambient values to make outdoor exploration feel open and clear. Reduce shadow intensity if harsh contrasts feel uncomfortable.
Optimize Night Vision
At night, balance visibility with atmosphere. Increase ambient light slightly to make navigation possible without losing the dark, mysterious feel. Adjust shadow darkness to create depth while keeping important landmarks visible.
Enhance Underground Spaces
Caves and enclosed areas benefit from higher ambient lighting since they receive no natural light. Increase indoor ambient values to make mining and exploration practical. Separate cave settings let you avoid over-brightening the surface world.
Test Each Scenario
Visit the same location at different times and in different environments. Spend time in caves, forests at noon, and open plains at night. This ensures your settings work well across all gameplay situations, not just one scenario.
