Create Your First Animated Scoreboard

Setting Up a Basic Scoreboard

Start by creating a new scoreboard configuration file in your plugin's config directory. Define the scoreboard name, title, and the lines you want to display. Each line can contain static text, player names, or PlaceholderAPI placeholders for dynamic content like player level or balance.

Adding Animation

To animate your scoreboard, use the animation settings in your config. You can set different text variations that cycle through at specified intervals, creating a scrolling or flashing effect. For example, create multiple title variations that rotate every few ticks to draw player attention.

After configuring your scoreboard:

1. Save your configuration file

2. Run /sb reload to load the new scoreboard

3. Use /sb toggle to enable it for testing

4. Verify the animation plays smoothly by watching the scoreboard update

If the animation doesn't appear, check that your tick intervals are set correctly and that all placeholder syntax is valid. Test with a small number of animation frames first before expanding complexity.
