Organizing Your Starter Resources

When you first spawn into the homestead, you'll have basic tools and materials. Head to the dedicated storage room—it's the building designed with shelving and chests. This is your resource hub.

Steps:

1. Open the chests in the storage room

2. Sort your starter items by type: ores, wood, stone, and crafting materials in separate chests

3. Leave space in at least one chest for items you'll gather immediately

4. Keep frequently used materials (wood, stone, dirt) in the most accessible chest

Maintaining Your System

As you gather more resources, return to storage regularly. Don't let your inventory get full—this slows you down when mining or fighting. Use the storage room as your central drop-off point before heading out for longer expeditions.

Label chests mentally or with signs if your mod supports them. Group similar items together: all ore types in one area, all wood variants in another. This saves time when you need something specific for crafting or building.
