Preparing to Leave the Homestead

Once your gear is ready and the sun is setting, it's time to venture into the wilderness. Proper preparation prevents losing everything to mobs.

Steps:

1. Equip your best sword and armor from the crafting workshop

2. Pack your pickaxe and a stack of wood or torches

3. Bring food from the farm—at least a stack

4. Take an empty chest or crafting table if possible

5. Mark your path back with torches or blocks

What to Gather First

Prioritize resources that improve your base:

• Stone and ores (coal, iron, copper) for tools and building
• Wood for fuel and crafting
• Dirt and grass for expanding your farm
• Mobs drops (bones, string, leather) for crafting

Stay within sight of your homestead for the first night. Build a small shelter if you venture far. Return before dawn to store everything in your storage room and avoid unnecessary mob encounters on the way back.
