What Simple Gravel Ores Does

Simple Gravel Ores changes where you can find ores. In vanilla Minecraft, ores generate inside stone. This mod adds gravel versions of those ores, so the same resources can also appear when gravel generates in the world.

The mod does not stop at vanilla ores. It is built to support ores added by other mods as well, so modded resources can show up in gravel too. This makes ore gathering a little easier and faster, since you have more places to look and more blocks to break while searching.

There are two versions of the mod with the same purpose, made by different authors: Simple Gravel Ores and Gravel Ores. Older releases supported a long list of specific modded ores. Newer releases use the ore dictionary instead, which means ores from other mods should be added to gravel automatically without the mod needing to list each one by hand.

If you already mine gravel for flint, you may now walk away with ore as well.
