How to Run Minecraft Commands from Discord

Why Use Command Execution

One of the most useful features is running Minecraft commands directly from Discord. This lets admins issue server commands without opening the game or the console. It is controlled by access settings so only trusted Discord users can use it.

Setting Up Permissions

In the mod config you will find options for which Discord roles or users are allowed to execute commands. Add the role ID or user ID of your admins. Without this, command execution is blocked. Make sure the bot has the necessary Discord permissions in the channel where commands will be typed.

Sending a Command

Once permissions are set, type the command in the designated Discord channel using the prefix the mod expects. The mod forwards it to the Minecraft server as if it were typed in the console. Output from the command is typically sent back to Discord so you can see the result. Test with a harmless command first, such as listing players, before trying anything destructive. If commands are ignored, verify the prefix, the channel, and that your Discord user or role is listed in the allowed set. Restart the server after editing permissions.
