How to Link Your Discord Server to Minecraft with Simple Discord Link
Getting the Bot Into Your Discord Server
Before any chat relay works, the bot has to be a member of your Discord server and configured with the right IDs. Start by inviting the bot to your Discord server using the invite link provided by the mod's setup process. Once it joins, you need to grab your Discord server's ID and the ID of the channel you want Minecraft chat to flow into. Enable Developer Mode in your Discord user settings, then right-click the server and the target channel to copy their IDs.
Configuring the Mod
Open the mod's config file on your Minecraft server. You will find fields for the bot token, the guild (server) ID, and the channel ID. Paste each value into the matching field. The bot token comes from your Discord application's bot page. Save the config and restart the Minecraft server so the mod can connect.
Verifying the Link
After restarting, watch the server console for a message confirming the bot logged in and joined your guild. Type something in Minecraft chat — it should appear in the linked Discord channel. Then send a message in Discord and confirm it shows up in Minecraft. If nothing appears, double-check that the channel ID matches the channel you are actually typing in and that the bot has permission to read and send messages there.
