While items never despawn from the timer, remember that other factors still apply: chunk unloading, world resets, or server restarts may affect item persistence depending on your setup. However, the mod ensures that the standard 5-minute despawn timer is completely bypassed. This gives you freedom to organize your response to death—whether that means gathering supplies, preparing a safe route back, or simply taking a break and returning later.
