Use Death Chests in Multiplayer

Multiplayer Compatibility

Simple Death Chest Mod is designed to work in multiplayer worlds. When a player dies, their death chest spawns at that location and only that player can access their items initially.

Accessing Your Death Chest

1. Die in the multiplayer world

2. Navigate back to your death location

3. Open your death chest to retrieve your items

4. Other players can see the chest but typically cannot open it

Server Considerations

If the server has the mod installed, death chests will function automatically. Ensure all players have the mod installed on their client for consistent behavior. Some servers may have additional rules about death chest retention time or permissions.

Preventing Item Loss

In multiplayer, death chests are especially valuable because they protect your items from being stolen or destroyed by other players' actions, lava flows, or environmental hazards. Always return promptly to secure your belongings.
