Finding Your Death Chest

When you die, a chest automatically spawns at your death location containing all items from your inventory. Navigate back to where you fell to locate it.

Opening and Collecting Items

1. Return to your death site

2. Look for the death chest among the blocks

3. Right-click the chest to open it

4. Collect your items by clicking and dragging them into your inventory, or shift-click to move stacks quickly

5. Close the chest when finished

Important Notes

The chest remains in the world after you open it. You can leave it there, break it to collect the chest block itself, or use it as temporary storage. Items stored in the death chest will not despawn like dropped items would, giving you ample time to return and retrieve them even if you died far from your base.

If you die multiple times before retrieving items, each death creates a new chest at that location, so you may have several chests to check.
