Change the Block Overlay Color

Access the Configuration

Open your mod configuration menu. This is typically found in the main settings or through a mod menu screen, depending on your mod loader setup.

Locate Overlay Color Settings

Find the Simple Block Overlay Mod settings section. Look for color configuration options—these are usually presented as RGB sliders, hex color codes, or a color picker interface.

Adjust the Color

Modify the red, green, and blue values to create your desired color. If using a hex input, enter a six-digit color code (for example, FF0000 for red). You can also adjust the alpha (transparency) value if available—lower values make the overlay more transparent, higher values make it more opaque.

Apply and Test

Save your changes and return to your world. Point your crosshair at any block to see the new overlay color in action. If you're not satisfied, return to settings and fine-tune the values until you achieve the look you want.

Tips

Bright colors like yellow or cyan are easier to see against most block textures. Very dark overlays may be hard to distinguish from the vanilla overlay.
