Fixing the Armor HUD When It Overlaps Other Interface Elements

A common annoyance is the armor overlay sitting on top of your health bar, hunger, hotbar, or another mod's HUD. Because everything is drawn in the same screen space, two overlays in the same corner will collide. The fix is almost always repositioning one of them.

Diagnosing the Overlap

First confirm which element is on top. If the armor icons are hidden behind another mod's panel, move the armor HUD to a different corner. If the armor icons are covering something else, either move the armor HUD or move the other element. Open the Simple Armor Hud config and change its anchor corner or offsets to shift it away from the crowded area.

Reducing Clutter

If you cannot find a free corner, shrink what the mod draws. Many configs let you hide the durability text and keep only the icons, or hide icons for empty slots so the overlay takes less room. Turning off pieces you do not need to monitor frees space quickly. After any change, close the config and check the result in-game — HUD positions only look right against the real interface, not in a menu preview. If overlaps persist, check whether a HUD-editing mod is also managing the same corner and let only one of them control that position.
