Create Smooth Flythrough Videos with Camera Paths

Recording a Camera Path

Press Q to open the camera path menu. This interface lets you record a series of keyframes that define your camera's movement through the world. Each keyframe captures your camera's position, rotation, and focus settings at a specific moment.

Setting Keyframes

Fly to your first position using freecam mode (Shift to enter), frame your shot, then add a keyframe through the path menu. Repeat this process at different locations along your desired route. The more keyframes you place, the more control you have over the camera's path.

Playback and Recording

Once your keyframes are set, use the path menu to preview your route. The camera will smoothly interpolate between keyframes, creating a cinematic flythrough. Press R to start video recording, then play back your path. The mod will record the smooth camera movement as video.

Adjusting Timing

You can adjust how quickly the camera moves between keyframes in the path menu, allowing you to create fast action sequences or slow, dramatic reveals of your builds.
