Enhance Contrast Between Day and Night Cycles

Locate Time-of-Day Lighting Controls

Open your shader settings and find options related to day/night balance or time-based lighting. Silver Frame Cinema automatically adjusts lighting throughout the day, but you can fine-tune this behavior.

Increase Day-Night Contrast

Look for sliders controlling daytime brightness or nighttime darkness. To make the day feel brighter and more vibrant, increase daytime exposure or brightness. To make night feel more dramatic, reduce nighttime ambient light slightly. These adjustments work together to create a more pronounced visual difference between cycles.

Balance Gameplay Visibility

While increasing contrast creates a cinematic effect, ensure nighttime remains playable without torches becoming essential everywhere. The shader's soft shadows mean you won't get harsh black areas even with lower nighttime values. Test by playing through a full day-night cycle and adjusting until the transition feels natural and visually interesting. Save your settings and compare how your builds look at sunrise, noon, sunset, and midnight.
