Mine Infested Stone and Collect It

Requirements

You need a pickaxe with Silk Touch. Infested stone appears naturally in strongholds and can be found mixed with regular stone.

Steps

1. Locate infested stone blocks in a stronghold or other structure where they naturally generate.

2. Equip your Silk Touch pickaxe.

3. Mine the infested stone. It will drop as a block item instead of spawning silverfish.

4. Collect the block and transport it to your desired location.

5. Place it by right-clicking.

Notes

Normally, breaking infested stone spawns silverfish mobs that attack you. Silk Touch prevents the silverfish from spawning, making collection safe and silent. The collected block remains infested—if broken without Silk Touch later, it will still spawn silverfish. This is useful for safely harvesting infested stone from strongholds without triggering mob spawns, or for relocating infested blocks to controlled locations.
