Collect a Spawner with Silk Touch

Requirements

You need a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch. Any pickaxe material works, though diamond or better is recommended for durability when mining multiple spawners.

Steps

1. Locate a spawner in a dungeon, mineshaft, stronghold, or other generated structure.

2. Equip your Silk Touch pickaxe.

3. Mine the spawner block directly. It will drop as an item instead of disappearing.

4. Pick up the spawner from the ground.

5. Place it anywhere in your world by right-clicking with the spawner in your hand.

Notes

Without Silk Touch, spawners normally disappear when broken. The spawner will retain its mob type when collected and placed—a cave spider spawner will still spawn cave spiders after placement. You can relocate spawners to create custom mob farms or consolidate multiple spawners in one location for increased efficiency.
