How to Mine Reinforced Deepslate Blocks

Prepare Your Pickaxe

You'll need a pickaxe with the Silk Touch enchantment. This enchantment can be found on enchanted books in loot chests, obtained through an enchanting table, or applied using an anvil. Any pickaxe material works—wood, stone, iron, diamond, or netherite—but stronger pickaxes are more durable for extended mining.

Locate and Mine the Blocks

Reinforced Deepslate blocks are found exclusively in ancient cities, forming the large portal-like structure at the center. Navigate to an ancient city and approach the reinforced deepslate blocks with your Silk Touch pickaxe equipped.

Mine the blocks as you normally would. Without Silk Touch, these blocks would be unbreakable and drop nothing. With the enchantment applied, they will break and drop as collectible items.

Collect Your Blocks

The mined reinforced deepslate blocks will drop as items that you can pick up and carry in your inventory. You can now transport them anywhere and place them in your builds, unlike the original unbreakable blocks in the ancient city structure.
