Take Screenshots Without Chat Interference

Why Your Screenshots Stay Clean

When you take a screenshot in vanilla Minecraft, a chat message appears confirming the action. If you take multiple screenshots quickly, these messages stack up and appear as overlays in your images, ruining composition and detail shots.

Silent Screenshots Mod eliminates this problem entirely. Every screenshot you take will no longer generate a chat message, keeping your chat history clean and your images free from text overlays.

How to Use

1. Press your screenshot keybind (default is F2) as normal

2. Listen for the confirmation sound — this replaces the chat message

3. Take as many screenshots in quick succession as you need without worrying about chat clutter

4. Your screenshots are saved to the standard .minecraft/screenshots folder

The mod works automatically once installed. No configuration or commands are needed. The sound feedback ensures you always know when a screenshot has been captured, even though no chat message appears.
