Silent Lib: What It Does and How to Use It

Overview

Silent Lib is a shared library mod, not a content mod. On its own it adds no blocks, items, or mobs. Instead, it bundles common classes and utilities that several of SilentChaos512's mods rely on, so those mods can share code and stay compatible with each other. If you use mods such as Silent Gear, Scaling Health, or Silent's Gems, Silent Lib is the piece they have in common.

The sl_nbt Command

Its most visible player-facing feature is the sl_nbt command. This lets you inspect the NBT (Named Binary Tag) data of a block, entity, or item and read it in a user-friendly format. NBT is the underlying data Minecraft stores for things like enchantments, custom names, and inventory contents, and it is normally hard to read. The command makes that data viewable without external tools.

Installation

Because it is a dependency, install Silent Lib alongside the mods that require it. It does nothing noticeable by itself, but those mods will not run correctly without it.
