Silence a Mob's Sounds

Getting the Silence Stick

Before you can silence any mob, you need to obtain The Silence Stick. While holding a regular stick in your hand, open the chat and enter the command /silencestick (or the shorter /st). This will transform your stick into The Silence Stick.

Silencing the Mob

Once you have The Silence Stick equipped, approach any mob you want to silence. This works on any mob in the game—hostile mobs like Creepers and Zombies, passive mobs like Cows and Sheep, or even boss mobs. Simply hit the mob with The Silence Stick by left-clicking it.

The mob will immediately stop producing sounds. This includes ambient noises, damage sounds, and death sounds. The silenced mob will continue to behave normally in every other way—it will still move, attack (if hostile), and interact with the world.

Optional: Silenced Entity Naming

By default, silenced mobs may display a "Silenced Entity" name tag above them. If you find this distracting, you can toggle this feature off in the mod's configuration file.
