Preview a Shulker Box Without Opening Your Inventory

How to Peek Inside

Shulker Preview lets you inspect shulker box contents while they're still in your hand or on the ground—no placement needed.

To preview a shulker box:

1. Hold a shulker box in your hand or look at one on the ground

2. Press and hold the preview activation key (default is usually a configurable button—check your controls)

3. A preview window will appear showing all items inside

4. Release the key to close the preview

Why This Matters

This is useful when you're sorting items or deciding which shulker to open without cluttering your workspace. You avoid the tedious process of placing the box, opening it, and breaking it again.

Customizing Your Preview Key

If the default key doesn't suit you, open your game options and navigate to the controls menu. Look for the Shulker Preview binding and rebind it to whatever key you prefer—many players choose a mouse button or a nearby keyboard key for quick access.
