How to Make Shulkers Always Drop Shells Instead of Relying on Chance

Why Shulkers Sometimes Drop Nothing

In vanilla Minecraft, Shulkers only drop a shell some of the time. That randomness makes farming shells slow and frustrating. The mod adds an option to bypass that roll completely so every kill yields shells.

Enabling Always-Drop

Open the mod's config file in your config directory. Find the option that controls whether the drop chance is ignored. Change its value to enable always-drop. Save the file.

Verifying the Change

Restart the game so the config is read. Head to an End City or your Shulker farm and kill a few Shulkers. Every one should now drop shells. If some still drop nothing, confirm the config was saved correctly and that the always-drop option is actually the one you toggled — some configs use inverted wording like "respect drop chance."

Combining with Shell Amount

Always-drop works alongside the shell amount setting. Set the amount higher if you want multiple shells per kill, or leave it at the default if you only want guaranteed single drops. Together these two options let you tune farming speed without touching loot tables manually.
