How to Change the Maximum Number of Shulker Shells Dropped

Understanding the Cap

The mod lets you set how many shells a Shulker drops, but there is an upper limit it will not exceed. If you enter a number above that limit, the mod reduces it to the maximum allowed. Knowing this prevents confusion when your configured value does not seem to take effect.

Editing the Value

Open the config file in your config folder. Locate the shell amount entry. Replace the current number with your desired amount. Save the file.

What Happens at the Cap

If you set a value higher than the mod supports, the mod silently clamps it. The Shulker will drop the maximum permitted number of shells, not the number you typed. To confirm your setting is active, kill a Shulker and count the drops.

Interaction with Drop Chance

Remember that the shell amount only matters when a drop actually occurs, unless you have enabled always-drop. If you want the maximum number of shells on every kill, enable always-drop as well as setting the amount. Otherwise the amount is only applied on successful vanilla rolls. Restart the game after editing so the new value loads.
