Customize Ingredients from Other Mods
Creating a Custom JSON File
Open your datapack folder and navigate to potion_ingredients/. Create a new JSON file named after the mod you want to customize (for example, alexsmobs.json).
Setting Ingredient Properties
Define each item with four numerical properties: purity, vitality, flavor, and stability. Positive values strengthen effects; negative values weaken or corrupt them. Assign a hex color code so your custom ingredients display correctly in the cauldron.
Adding Effect Mappings
Inside each ingredient entry, add an effects object. Map vanilla or custom status effects to numeric values—positive numbers amplify the effect, negative numbers reduce it. For example, an ingredient might boost Strength but reduce Hunger.
