Hide the FPS Counter During Gameplay
Toggling Visibility
Most versions of Show FPS On Screen Mod include a keybind to quickly hide or show the FPS counter without restarting the game. Check your mod's control settings to find the toggle key—this is often a function key or customizable hotkey.
Using the Toggle
Press the designated keybind while in-game to turn the counter on and off. This is useful when:
- Taking screenshots for sharing
- Recording gameplay footage
- Reducing visual clutter during intense moments
- Showing off your world to others
Permanent Disabling
If you want to disable the mod entirely without uninstalling it, you can edit the configuration file to set the counter to inactive by default. Look for an enabled or show_fps setting and set it to false. Restart Minecraft to apply the change.
Toggling is faster for temporary hiding, while config changes are better if you want the counter off for extended periods.
