What Shogi Mod Does

Shogi Mod is a background library, not a standalone content mod. It provides the rule engine that other mods such as Waystones and Unbreakables rely on to function. If you installed one of those mods and it asked for Shogi Mod as a dependency, this is why.

How the Rule System Works

Shogi Mod evaluates conditions and applies custom rules to other mods' content. Rules can be triggered by your location, your player status, or the dimension you are in. It handles the math and logic behind events like fast travel between points or blocks that remain solid permanently.

Configuring Rules

Setup is done through plain text or JSON files rather than an in-game menu. You write conditions and outcomes in these files, and the mod reads them to decide when a rule applies. No item names or recipes are added by Shogi Mod itself.

When to Install It

Only add Shogi Mod if another mod lists it as a requirement. On its own it adds no blocks, items, or gameplay, and it runs quietly in the background.
