Understanding the Glow Mechanic

Shiny Hearts adds a polished, luminous quality to your health and hunger icons through texture design. The glow effect is baked into the texture files themselves—it's not a separate setting you toggle on or off, but rather an inherent visual property of the pack.

Modifying Glow Intensity

To adjust how bright or subtle the shine appears, open the heart and hunger texture files in an image editor. You can:

• Reduce the opacity of highlight layers to make the glow more subtle
• Increase contrast between light and dark areas for a stronger shine effect
• Adjust the color saturation of the glossy elements

Testing Your Adjustments

Save your edited textures and reload resources in-game using F3 + T. Check your hotbar under different lighting conditions—the glow effect may appear more or less pronounced depending on your game's brightness settings and current environment. Fine-tune until you achieve your preferred balance between visibility and visual appeal.
