How to Use the Rebound Enchantment to Extend Your Parry Window
What Rebound Does
Rebound is an enchantment added by this mod that lengthens the parry window on your shield. Each level adds a percentage bonus to the base window. By default the bonus is 25% per level, which works out to roughly an extra half-second per level, stacking up to the maximum enchantment level (5 by default).
This means a shield with Rebound V has a noticeably longer window than an unenchanted shield, making parries far more forgiving.
Getting and Applying Rebound
Rebound is a treasure enchantment, so it does not appear from normal enchanting tables. You obtain it as an enchanted book found in loot chests.
1. Search loot chests in structures such as dungeons, mineshafts, temples, and similar locations for an enchanted book with Rebound.
2. Take the book to an anvil along with your shield.
3. Combine them on the anvil to apply Rebound to the shield.
4. If you find multiple books, combine them first to raise the level before applying to the shield, saving XP.
Higher Rebound levels are best for players who struggle with tight timing or who fight many projectile-firing mobs at once.
