How to Change the Parry Window and Rebound Bonus in the Config
Editing the Config File
Both the base parry window and the Rebound bonus percentage are configurable. If the default two-second window feels too short or too long, or if you want Rebound to be stronger or weaker, you can adjust these values.
1. Locate the mod's config file in your Minecraft config folder. It is typically a .toml or .json file named after the mod.
2. Open it with a plain text editor.
3. Find the entry controlling the parry window duration and the entry controlling the Rebound bonus percentage.
4. Change the values to what you want. The parry window is measured in seconds; the Rebound bonus is a percentage added per enchantment level.
5. Save the file and restart the game for changes to take effect.
What Changing These Values Affects
Increasing the parry window makes every shield easier to time, which is helpful on servers with lag or for casual play. Decreasing it makes parrying a skill-based challenge. Changing the Rebound bonus alters how much each enchantment level extends the window, so a higher percentage makes high-level Rebound books much more valuable. The maximum Rebound level is also configurable, so you can raise or lower the cap if you want stronger or weaker enchants.
