Light a Portal Using Fire Charges Instead of Flint and Steel

Prepare Your Fire Charges

Craft or obtain Fire Charges. These work as an alternative to Flint and Steel for activating portals in this data pack.

Build Your Portal Frame

Construct your custom-shaped portal frame using Obsidian or Crying Obsidian blocks, just as you would for any other portal.

Activate With Fire Charge

Right-click any Obsidian block in your frame with a Fire Charge. The portal will activate immediately, filling your custom shape with the portal effect. The Fire Charge will be consumed in the process.

Advantages

Fire Charges can be useful if you're far from a crafting table or prefer not to use Flint and Steel. They work identically to Flint and Steel for portal activation, so choose whichever is more convenient for your situation.
