Shadow Coverage

Smooth Entity Shadows applies soft, round shadows to every mob in the game automatically—no per-mob configuration needed.

Affected entities include:

• All animals (pigs, cows, sheep, horses, chickens, wolves, polar bears, etc.)
• All hostile mobs (spiders, skeletons, creepers, zombies, etc.)
• Special mobs (Iron Golems, Endermen, Withers)
• Dropped items on the ground

Viewing Shadows Clearly

Shadows are most visible on flat, well-lit surfaces like grass or dirt. To see them best:

1. Stand in daylight or near bright light sources

2. Look at mobs on open ground rather than in caves

3. Watch mobs move—shadows follow them smoothly

If a shadow seems faint or invisible, check that the mob isn't standing on a dark block or in deep shade. Shadows blend with the surface, so they're subtle on darker terrain.
