Adjust Shadow Appearance for Better Performance

Check Your Graphics Settings

Smooth Entity Shadows is lightweight and doesn't require special mods, but your Minecraft graphics settings affect how shadows render.

1. Open Settings → Video Settings

2. Ensure Smooth Lighting is enabled for the best shadow blending

3. Set Particles to at least All so dropped items display shadows clearly

4. Keep Mipmap Levels at default or higher for crisp shadow edges

Performance on Older Computers

This pack is designed to run smoothly even on older hardware. If you experience lag:

• Reduce your render distance
• Lower particle count in Video Settings
• Disable other resource packs temporarily

The soft shadows use simple textures, so performance impact is minimal compared to shader mods or advanced lighting systems.
