Getting Started with 8 BIT Shaders
Activating the Shader
8 BIT Shaders transforms your world into a retro arcade aesthetic. Once installed and enabled, the shader automatically applies its effects to your game world.
You'll notice several visual changes: pixelated graphics give blocks a sharper, 8-bit appearance, faint scanlines cross your screen like an old monitor, and enchanted tools emit a soft glow. Lighting remains realistic despite the retro style, so shadows and brightness still behave naturally during day and night cycles. Colors become more vibrant and distinct, particularly noticeable at night when the arcade-inspired palette stands out.
If the effect feels too strong or you want to disable it temporarily, you can toggle the shader off through your graphics settings and reactivate it anytime.
