Control Which Players Can Access Specific Menus

Setting Up Permission-Based Access

ServerSelectorX integrates with your server's permissions system, allowing you to restrict menus and servers to specific player groups.

Configuring Permissions

1. Identify the permission node for your menu (typically serverselectorx.menu.<menu-id>)

2. In your permissions plugin (LuckPerms, PermissionsEx, etc.), assign the permission to specific groups or players

3. Players without the permission cannot open the menu or see restricted buttons

4. You can also restrict individual server buttons within a menu

5. Reload permissions and run /ssx reload

Practical Setup

Create different menus for different player ranks: a basic menu for new players with only public servers, and an advanced menu for VIP players with exclusive game modes. Use permission prefixes to organize: serverselectorx.menu.vip, serverselectorx.menu.public, etc.

This approach keeps your server organized and ensures players only see relevant options for their rank.
